The strongest proof is a working boundary, not a futuristic claim.
The build replaced simulated capture with confirmed local audio storage, added truthful capture and privacy states, improved accessible responsive controls, and documented the contract future CaseNotes products could use without pretending those connections already exist.
What we will not pretend: Cloud sync, external AI, AI transcription, AI conversation, and cross-product routing are not connected. The capture envelope is contract-ready but is not emitted outside this app. A packaged-device microphone smoke test remains the next gate.
What the current build verifiably does
Visible record, stop, and confirmation states
Desktop and browser controls include honest microphone errors, a live input meter, an elapsed timer, start and stop cues, and a typed fallback.
Confirmed local audio and metadata storage
Audio is stored in an IndexedDB object store named audio. Versioned note metadata is kept in a localStorage index for this app profile.
Local recall and vault controls
The app supports search, filters, editing, playback, source-linked local recall, export, and deletion with confirmation.
Verified quality evidence from the 2026-08-01 manifest
The project manifest records the evidence level rather than treating a polished interface as proof of every future capability.

The next verified gate
- Run one packaged-device microphone smoke test. Microphone state and error paths are automated, but the current manifest keeps human device verification open.
- Keep transcription disconnected until approved. An approved local transcription service can later be connected behind the documented capture envelope.
- Route only with explicit user control. Future product connections must follow the manifest rule that raw audio and notes remain product-specific unless the user promotes them.
